Last Friday, 25th March 2011. It was time for quality dinner time. Destination, somewhere near home. Since bro wanted to eat Seafood Hor Fun. We decided to go Magic Wok at downtown east. I think they just open up the branch there. We came in early for our dinner. We were seated at around 7pm. It was a tough choice for the menu cause we knew what they have. Its the usual, nothing special on their menu. So this is what we ordered : -

Picture
Baby Squid (70% gone until i realise that i have not took a picture of it)
We were so hungry and this is the 1st dish that was put on our table. We start attacking it until I realise that I didn't even took a decent picture of it. The baby Squid is nice. The baby squid is crispy. Its nice. The baby squid is cooked in sweet n' sour sauce. Will be nice if we eat with hot steamy rice.

Pandan Leaf Chicken
Next on our side dish menu, we order pandan leaf. Personally, its my favourite. The chicken is boneless and its wrap with pandan leaves and then it is deep fried. For a size small dish, its $8 and there is 4 pandan leaf chicken.

my SPICY kway teow cockles
Fried Kway Teow Cockles. I think this is new on the menu cause before this I don't see this on their menu. I requested for them to cook my kway teow cockles and make it spicy and yes, they make it really spicy. Its nice but i think its a big too spicy for me. I'm disappointed cause there is not much cockles.(I'm a huge fan of cockles). This fried kway teow cockles is price at $3.80

Chicken Chop with fries
I'm very sure that this is new on the menu. Magic wok now have western food. To me, its not nice. The chicken is cold, the gravy taste like the typical mushroom maggie sauce, the fries not fresh and there is no salad or coleslaw. But it is cheap. Its price at $4.50

Seafood Hor Fun
This is the main reason why we go to magic wok. Seafood Hor fun at magic wok is always one of the best for me. But i was a bit disappointed as the only seafood on the hor fun is 1 prawn, 3 sliced of fish and a few squid. This is priced at $3.80

Believe it or not, after dinner at Magic wok, we move over to Gelare to have our dessert. Hahahah what other best way to eat Gelare then to share it with your love ones. We bought normal waffle with 2 scoops of ice cream. Flavour that we choose is Chocolate overload, Cookies and Cream and Mocha Chip with whipped cream and chocolate syrup. Priced at $15.33 but being ntuc member i had a 10% discount. So it $14.77

Done with eating we have a round of bowling and headed straight home. Overall, Magic wok is good, its cheap and its fill up my tummy. Read a few blog and it seems that bloggers complaint about the service at magic wok. To me, the service was ok and it was an all male crew. Greeted me with a smile and was quick in their service. Oh and another thing to take note. To all NTUC card member, you will receive discount when u dine at downtown east. Most eatery at downtown east gives 10% to NTUC card members. Its a good bargain. So head down to downtown east for some good quality time.
