I mean, Raya is a joyous time for us to meet all our relatives who have been busy through out the year. Every Raya will be a colourful affair with lots of laughter, eating, catching up and more. So why is there a need to furnish our house with almost new stuff? Remember the true meaning of fasting and I'm sure Raya celebration will be more meaningful if it's being done in moderation.

Today is the 6th days of Raya. I survive it pretty good I guess. I mange to visit a decent amount of houses and I guess I will surrender by now. No more visiting for me please. The 1st day of Raya was hectic. Guests just keep on coming to my house. Legitly, like there was even more than 2 family at one time in my house. For the 1st time this year my mum decided on having buffet for the guests. She was overall happy with it and I could see that she is more than satisfied with the buffet and happy that all the guests have enough food to eat. She wanna do the same for next year. This time with more food on the menu. As long as she is happy, I am happy.
Visiting relatives was pretty good for me this year until on the 5th day of Raya, I was struck with severe stomach upset. It was so bad that it sort of bother me. Even till now, I am still having this stomach upset. I guess it must be from all the Rendang, Lemak and other Raya goodies. During the fasting month, my tummy was on a very relax mode and now that Raya is here, I've been eating all this food. Of course my tummy is shock by the overwhelming variety of spices in my tummy. Sorry dear tummy, we will be on track soon ok.
I hope everyone else is having an equally good Raya. Remember, it's the month of forgiving and asking for forgiveness. So be kind, put aside your ego and do what you have to do!!
